I met with management on Wed of this week. I pointed out that the excessing took place in June on tour 2 and tour 3. Due to that excessing you have the right to re-post but the posting would be closed bid on those two tours. I brought up the concern of some senior employees getting re-posting letters and junior employees with the same hours and SDO did not receive a re-posting letter. There were some other issues brought up also.
During the meeting on Mon, Aug 14th. We will be discussing the employees that were senior that received a re-posting letter, in order to get that corrected. We will be discussing the effects of this information in regards to the letter you have received dealing with the re-posting on Aug. 23rd.
Management has also scheduled a meeting with me on Thurs next week. We have agreed that I am correct on the closed bids on all positions for Tour 2 and Tour 3. We will go over those bids on Thurs, Aug 17th, next week. The schedule as of now is upon completion of that meeting, all information will be sent to all impacted employees by Monday, Aug 21st. Your response will have to be returned by Tues. Aug 29th. This is a tentative schedule of events to take place.
Once these re-posting take place, it is suggested that you bid on as many jobs as possible. This will limit your chances of becoming unassigned. At the completion of all of this, we will be looking at the issue of justifying more jobs with weekend scheduled days off based on Art. 37.3. A.1 CBA (every effort will be made to create desirable duty assignments from all available work hours for career employees to bid).The re-posting is done in accordance with Art. 37.3. A.4 CBA and LMOU Item 21A.
