Today we had an incident at the Union Office whereby a member came in and became enraged about an issue. The member made threats towards other members and staff working inside this building and then proceeded to call my phone and make further threats that included bodily harm.

I do not know why the member is so enraged but for the safety of all working inside this building the doors will remain locked at all times. The doorbell works and when someone comes they will be let in. I still maintain an open door policy for my office and will also set aside times to meet.
